Empowering Youth: Iraq’s ‘Good Initiative’ Kicks Off Today

Economy News – Baghdad

On Sunday, the Supreme Youth Council inaugurated a significant initiative directed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.

The Prime Minister’s media office announced that, as part of the government’s commitment to support youth—a key aspect of the government program—this initiative, dubbed the “Good Initiative,” aims to empower young individuals in crucial sectors: agriculture, food security, livestock, and climate resilience.

The initiative is designed to offer financial support through very affordable loans for young entrepreneurs in these fields, facilitate training and skill development for proactive youth groups participating in the initiative, and provide mentorship and guidance for youth project leaders.

Furthermore, the initiative intends to assist successful youth projects in acquiring modern equipment designed to bolster agricultural production. It also includes mechanisms for detailed follow-up on these projects to ensure their success and sustainability.

According to the announcement, the Supreme Council invites young individuals interested in launching their own projects in agriculture, food security, livestock, and climate to register at the following link:
