Nabil Al-Saffar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Construction and Housing, confirmed on Tuesday that the implementation of electronic housing loan payments is alleviating burdens for citizens and mitigating risks associated with cash transactions.
In a recent statement, Al-Saffar indicated that this move aligns with government directives aimed at enhancing efficiency within the housing fund. He emphasized that the housing fund has adopted electronic collection and payment systems, allowing citizens to conveniently manage their payments.
“The integration of electronic payment methods lessens the financial strain on citizens by eliminating the need to visit the fund or its branches for installment payments,” he noted. Borrowers now have the option to use electronic payment cards issued by the central bank to facilitate their transactions.
Furthermore, Al-Saffar highlighted that the availability of electronic payment gateways ensures secure online transactions available 24/7, improving operational efficiency while reducing the dangers typically associated with cash handling.
