Dana Gas Resumes Kormore 250 Project in Kurdistan, Boosting Gas Production Capacity by 250 Million Cubic Feet by 2026

The UAE-based company Dana Gas has officially announced the resumption of the Kormore 250 project, aimed at enhancing gas production capacity by 2026.

In a formal statement, the company disclosed that project development commenced fully in December, with the second quarter of 2026 designated as the target for initiating gas production from this venture.

The Kormore 250 project is expected to contribute an additional 250 million cubic feet to the overall production capacity of the Kormore facility, significantly bolstering the company’s oil flows and its financial metrics.

The Kormore project includes facilities that operate four electricity generation plants, utilizing 500 million cubic feet of gas per day. This output is projected to generate approximately 2,800 megawatts of electricity, accounting for 75% of the electricity supply within the Kurdistan Region.
