### Coalition Financial Aid for Peshmerga Forces
The Peshmerga Ministry has confirmed that financial assistance from coalition forces will be disbursed in January 2025. This funding will be allocated to officers and members of the ministry’s office and infantry units.
Following the deposit of coalition assistance into the Peshmerga Ministry’s account, the General Directorate of Budget and Programs (Military Accounting) has finalized its financial and accounting protocols. The ministry has stated that it has received assurances from the coalition regarding the ongoing continuation of this financial support.
In alignment with these developments, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has established an account to facilitate the payment of salaries for its employees. According to the Peshmerga Ministry, over 40,000 Peshmergas and officers will benefit from the coalition assistance through this salary implementation project.
The ministry emphasized that this action is in accordance with the terms outlined in the letter of understanding between the Peshmerga Ministry of the Kurdistan Regional Government and coalition forces.
As part of its commitment to support the Peshmerga and ensure the comprehensive integration of Peshmerga forces, the coalition extends approximately $25 million monthly to the Peshmerga Ministry.
