China Unveils 15% Tariff on U.S. Coal and Gas Amid Trade Tensions

The Chinese government has officially declared the introduction of customs duties on American coal and gas, effective today.

According to the announcement, “the Chinese government has decided to implement a 15% tariff on American coal and gas.”

The report also revealed that “Beijing will impose a 10% tariff on crude oil and other imports from the United States.”

China previously expressed strong opposition to the recent tariffs imposed by the U.S. administration, asserting its readiness to implement reciprocal measures to defend its rights and interests.

“China is firmly dissatisfied and expresses strong opposition,” stated the Chinese Ministry of Trade.
