Global Investment Company Brookfield to Direct €20 Billion Toward AI Development in France
The Global Investment Company, Brookfield, has announced plans to invest €20 billion (approximately $20.65 billion) in the development of artificial intelligence projects in France. This investment, which is set to commence immediately, will extend through 2030.
As part of this strategic initiative, Brookfield is earmarking €15 billion for the construction of data centers throughout France. An additional €5 billion will be allocated for infrastructure focusing on data transfer, storage chips, and the production of energy from renewable resources.
In conjunction with these developments, France will host a significant summit on artificial intelligence this Monday in Paris. The event will convene heads of state, governmental leaders, international organization executives, representatives from both small and large enterprises, as well as members of academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, artists, and civil society.
