British company, BP, has announced the commencement of production from the second phase of the Revin Gas Affairs Development Project in Egypt. This phase involves the integration of additional offshore wells into the existing infrastructure at the Rigen Barrier Station, part of the West Nile Delta project.
With BP holding a majority stake of 82.75% in the project, Harbor Energy retains 17.25%. The new wells are anticipated to significantly enhance production output, contributing approximately 220 billion cubic feet of gas and seven million barrels of condensate.
The Regen field represents the final stage of the West Nile Delta project, which began production in early 2021. This project phase encompasses the development of eight marine wells positioned up to 65 kilometers offshore, with depths ranging from 550 to 700 meters.
