The Ministry of Construction and Housing has announced the establishment of a committee dedicated to advancing the Samarra infrastructure project.
In an official statement, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rikani, led a gathering focused on the infrastructure initiatives for the Samarra district. This meeting was attended by the Governor of Salah al-Din, Badr Al-Fahl, the Director General of the General Directorate of Celestrals, Imad Al Mirza, alongside several officials from local service departments.
The ministry emphasized that a committee has been formed to oversee the execution of the infrastructure project for Samarra, which has been designated as the capital of Iraq for Islamic civilization. This committee will be led by the Minister of Reconstruction and will also include the Governor of Salah al-Din, the municipal managers from the Samarra judiciary, and various stakeholders from the Salah al-Din Governorate.
The committee is tasked with managing the project through all phases until completion. It will also extend an invitation to an international advisory firm to review project designs, oversee implementation, and determine the contracting companies involved.
