Baghdad’s Al-Harra Electricity Station: Quick Response to Fuel Tube Damage Ensures Environmental Safety

On Sunday, the Ministry of Electricity provided clarification regarding the damage sustained by one of the fuel tubes at the Al-Harra Electricity Station.

The public company for electricity production in the southern region reported that the recent failure of the electrical network led to damage in one of the fuel tubes at the Al-Harra electricity station, attributed to excessive pump pressure.

In their statement, it was highlighted that immediate corrective measures were taken, which involved isolating the damaged tube and removing the leaked fuel. Following this, field tests conducted by the river inspection team confirmed that the river remained unpolluted and free from any traces of contamination, countering claims of significant environmental impact that have circulated.
