The Ministry of Oil has today outlined the specifics of social benefits projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure in regions surrounding oil fields, highlighting the initiatives’ focus on three key sectors.
According to an official announcement from the ministry, “These social benefits consist of service-oriented projects implemented in areas adjacent to oil fields where foreign companies are engaged through licensing rounds. The objective is to bolster the service infrastructure in these localities.”
Furthermore, the ministry clarified that “Projects are determined in collaboration with local provincial governments and relevant sectoral authorities. They are evaluated by joint committees that include representatives from both the foreign company and the ministry.”
The ministry emphasized, “Numerous service projects are being developed across various sectors, including education, health, and public services. These include road coverage, construction and refurbishment of schools, clinics, and hospitals, as well as equipping these institutions with necessary furniture and medical devices.”
