Baghdad Oil Ministry Supplies 10,000 Cubic Meters of Gas Oil Daily to Boost Electricity Services

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Oil announced its provision of 10,000 cubic meters of gas oil daily to the Ministry of Electricity, alongside the export of certain products to support the state budget.

Ali Maarij, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, indicated during a dialogue session at the Iraq Energy Conference that the Ministry is committed to supplying various types of oil to the Ministry of Electricity, specifically preparing 10,000 liters of gas oil each day. He noted that Iraqi refineries currently produce 30,000 cubic meters of gas oil. Furthermore, he highlighted that the Ministry has achieved self-sufficiency in white oil and has facilities dedicated to enhancing gasoline quality.

According to Maarij, the output from Iraq’s refineries meets the domestic demand for white oil, black oil, and gas oil. Additionally, he mentioned that some products are exported to boost the state budget.
