Economy News – Baghdad
On Tuesday, the Joint Operations Command announced the initiation of a campaign aimed at closing all garages in Baghdad that fail to adhere to regulatory standards.
According to a statement from the leadership, which outlined measures taken following directives from higher authorities, the General Traffic Directorate has mobilized its personnel to collaborate with supporting entities, including the Baghdad Operations Command and various security formations. This effort is being coordinated with the Capital Municipality to enforce compliance by shutting down garages that violate regulations and addressing individuals who unlawfully occupy sidewalks for profit.
Furthermore, the campaign aims to ensure accountability among shop owners who set up cooking equipment, such as kebab grills, in front of their establishments. Authorities have emphasized the importance of preventing parking violations on the second lane of the street.
The leadership has called on citizens to comply with existing laws and traffic regulations, urging them to cooperate with traffic personnel to avoid potential legal repercussions.
