Baghdad Governor Abdul-Muttalib Al-Alawi announced a significant advancement in the initiation of the residential cities of Ali Al-Wardi and Al-Jawahiri during a recent meeting. This meeting was convened by the Supreme Committee for the New Residential Cities at the Ministry of Reconstruction, Housing, and Municipalities.
In a statement from the governorate, Al-Alawi indicated that discussions focused on various agenda items related to the ongoing housing crisis in the capital, particularly in connection with the proposed cities of Al-Jawahiri and Ali Al-Wardi. He emphasized that substantial progress has been made regarding the establishment of these developments.
Al-Alawi expressed the importance of the meeting in addressing the acute housing challenges faced by Baghdad’s residents, driven by the high volume of requests from citizens seeking residential land. He also noted that there was an agreement to coordinate with relevant authorities for a follow-up meeting aimed at identifying and resolving the remaining obstacles linked to the housing crisis.
