New Water Supply Project Launched in Samarra

In a significant initiative aimed at promoting sustainable development and enhancing essential services for citizens, Muthanna Al-Samarrai, head of the Al-Azm coalition, inaugurated a new water supply project on Saturday, February 15, 2025. This project, which features a unitary water unit capable of producing 200 cubic meters per hour, is situated in the Sheikh Muhammad Al-Khalaf area on Samarra Island. The initiative is set to alleviate the water scarcity challenges faced by local residents and will provide a sustainable source of drinking water.

Commitment to Infrastructure Improvement

During the opening ceremony, attended by local officials, community leaders, and tribal sheikhs, Al-Samarrai emphasized that this project reflects a broader commitment to enhancing infrastructure in previously neglected areas. “The completion of this project, executed in accordance with the latest technical standards, aligns with our vision to support initiatives that bolster stability in liberated regions and deliver essential services to residents,” Al-Samarrai noted. He also indicated that the Determination Alliance is dedicated to rolling out further development projects across various governorates.
