Coalition Financial Aid for Peshmerga Set for November 6

Coalition Financial Aid Distribution Scheduled for Peshmerga Forces

The Peshmerga Ministry has officially announced the distribution of financial assistance from coalition forces, set to occur on November 6, with allocations intended for the month of February. This assurance reflects a continued commitment to support the Peshmerga.

On Tuesday, the Peshmerga Ministry confirmed that it will disburse financial support to Peshmerga officers and personnel on Thursday. Following the receipt of coalition funds, the General Directorate of Budget and Programs has completed all requisite financial and accounting procedures.

Confirmation from coalition sources indicates a sustained provision of financial assistance to the Peshmerga Ministry. This month alone, over 46,000 Peshmerga members and officers will receive monetary support, with some benefitting through a designated project account while others will utilize a banking system for transactions.

In a strategic move to bolster the operational capabilities of the Peshmerga, the coalition is funding approximately $25 million monthly to the Peshmerga Ministry. This financial infusion is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the forces, underpinning broader initiatives for their full integration and operational unity.
