26 Projects to Transform Baghdad International Airport Announced

On Saturday, the Ministry of Transport reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing development of Baghdad International Airport, highlighting the implementation of 26 strategic projects aimed at enhancing airport infrastructure and services.

The development initiative for Iraqi airports, spearheaded by Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, commenced in mid-2024 through the efforts of the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation Management.

Baghdad International Airport is a focal point of this initiative, which encompasses a range of projects designed to elevate the quality of services offered to travelers and improve operational capabilities. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has previously emphasized the importance of adhering to international standards and specifications during this development process. These enhancements are expected to not only elevate service quality for citizens but also address various operational challenges to ensure timely completion according to established guidelines and benchmarks.
