The Teachers Syndicate has announced the allocation of 15,000 parcels of land to educational professionals in the Al-Muthanna and Wasit governorates, as part of the “Real Estate Development” initiative.
According to union spokesman Ahmed Al-Shuwaili, Al-Muthanna Governorate will provide 10,000 parcels of land, while Wasit will contribute 5,000 plots, aimed at enhancing housing opportunities for teachers.
Al-Shuwaili highlighted that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani has previously approved the establishment of residential neighborhoods for educational personnel in each governorate, referred to as “Teachers’ Neighborhoods.” He noted that certain provincial officials have already commenced practical steps to bring this project to fruition.
He further emphasized that the total number of teachers in the country exceeds 1.15 million, underscoring the importance of supporting this vital segment in fostering future generations and strengthening society.
